Silver Emulsion – Particle Size Distribution Analysis
I’ve been working on formulating a home-made tabular grain type emulsion. I gave some of the emulsion to a friend, Stan Cassell at Chemoptix, who does microscopic analysis to see what his microscope could see. He prepared two slides of the emulsion by smearing diluted emulsion on a microscope slide. Using a Zeiss microscope with oil immersion optics, he took photos with a SPOT RT and processed them with Image Pro Plus software.
